Pathway 2 · Placement
Finding a program that takes safety seriously.
Placement means connecting you with reputable ibogaine or psychedelic programs that specifically offer addiction and mental health treatment. We help you compare them honestly, and we tell you when one isn't right for you.
We do not provide ibogaine in Colorado yet. We provide support services around ibogaine treatment.

How a referral works
Five steps, at your pace.
Understand your goals
A conversation about what's going on, what you've tried, and what you hope changes.
Consider suitable programs
We look at which programs fit your situation, location, budget and health history.
Explain your options
We lay out what each program offers, how it handles safety, and what it will ask of you.
Coordinate a handoff
With your permission, we introduce you to the program and share what you've asked us to share.
Connect you with their admission process
The program runs its own medical assessment and makes its own admission decision.
Safety
Ibogaine is serious medicine.
Ibogaine affects the heart. It can disturb heart rhythm, it interacts with many common medications, and people have died when it was given without proper screening and medical monitoring.
So we don't start by selling you on it. We start by helping you understand the screening a serious program should require, and we only refer people to programs with medical staff on site. Part of our job is telling some people ibogaine isn't right for them.

We're preparing our first program profiles now. We won't call any program "vetted" until our review criteria are published here. Until then, ask us directly about any program you're considering.
Questions
Is ibogaine legal in the US and Colorado?
Not as a treatment. Ibogaine is a Schedule I controlled substance under federal law. Colorado's Natural Medicine Health Act decriminalized personal use of some natural medicines, ibogaine among them, but it did not create licensed ibogaine treatment. That's why ibogaine treatment happens abroad.
Do you only place people at Nekawa?
No. Nekawa Ibogaine Treatment Centers presents PACT, and we're open about that connection. When Nekawa is the right fit, we'll say so. When it isn't, we'll help you find a program that is. We don't take referral fees or commissions from any program.
Does a referral guarantee admission?
No. Every program makes its own admission decision after its own medical assessment. A referral from us doesn't guarantee admission, and no program can guarantee results.
What if ibogaine isn't right for me?
If you're not a fit for ibogaine or iboga, we also help with other natural psychedelic medicines, such as psilocybin mushrooms, ayahuasca, or Sonoran Desert toad. Colorado has state-licensed psilocybin healing centers, and we can refer you to one.

Ask about placement
Tell us a little about what's going on and where you are. A person will reply by email, and the first call is free.
